HAMPTON — A suspect in a shooting July 21 has been arrested after a routine traffic stop. Floyd Lee Taybron, 20, of Hampton was arrested Wednesday in the 100 block of Glasgow Way at 12:01 p.m. on charges of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, shooting from a vehicle and aggravated malicious wounding, said Sgt. Jason Price of the Hampton Police Division. According to Price, a joint fugitive task force of Hampton and Newport News police officers was conducting surveillance on a known associate of Taybron's on a vehicle, which led to a traffic stop and then the arrest.
